John Tolva, Cityfi co-founder

May 23, 2019 – Ann Arbor SPARK will host John Tolva, co-founder of Cityfi and former chief technology officer for the City of Chicago, as the keynote speaker for the Ann Arbor Mobility Summit on Thursday, June 6. This one-day event will include a series of panels and presentations at the Graduate Ann Arbor and then conclude at the American Center for Mobility with a guided track tour and reception.

“The Ann Arbor Mobility Summit aims to grow the mobility ecosystem in the Ann Arbor region by fostering participation and collaboration among our attendees,” said Komal Doshi, Ann Arbor SPARK director of mobility programs. “We are thrilled to have John set the tone for the day as he speaks to the role technology plays in city development and the value of an inclusive, mindful approach when building a Smart City infrastructure.”

“The summit is another step forward in creating connections between industry, academia and infrastructure providers. These connections are essential to our future success and in ensuring this region remains a leader in transportation, ” Doshi added.

Cityfi is an urban change management consultancy dedicated
to enabling smart, sustainable cities through innovative public-private
partnerships, triple bottom line policymaking, and human-centric technology. John
also co-founded and is board chair of the non-profit Colorado Smart Cities
Alliance, a collaboration between Colorado municipalities, private sector
companies, and academia to develop, pilot, and test solutions to urban
challenges.

The summit will include more than 20 speakers, including
Ford Smart Mobility, World Economic Forum, Mcity, City of Ann Arbor, Detroit
Mobility Lab and more. The speakers represent private and public sector who
will discuss key mobility projects, opportunities and issues relevant to the
Ann Arbor region. The summit will also spotlight mobility startups and the
opportunity to connect directly with industry experts.
